Overcoming My Greatest Fear

If someone had asked me about 5/6 years ago what my greatest fear was, I’d readily answer “Growing old”😱. Lol yes! I was terribly scared of the thought of growing old. I knew I wanted to live long, but I didn’t want to think of myself in my “grays”, the thought just terrified me.

That’s because the knowledge I had of aging people was sickness, loosing teeth, loosing eyesight, weak bones, walking stick, wrinkles & gray scanty hair, so I just never wanted to take my mind there, and if I did I would immediately shake it off like a plague.

This was me 5 to 6 years ago.

I must say, and I’m sure you agree with me, that understanding has a vital role to play in our progress. I understand now that growing old is actually a blessing if and only if I I’m spending the days…

The Place Called Hope

The place called Hope.

I have no idea where it is but I’d never find out if I don’t start on this journey.

I have been so lost for a long time and it’s time I took that journey especially if I have any hope of finding hope!

I’m excited about going to Hope!

Is It Too Late To Dream?

Is it?
Because I’m old now and I don’t paint rainbow pictures anymore.
Is it too late to dream?
Because my bones ache and I don’t skip merrily across the borders anymore.

Life got too tiring,
I got tired of falling,
Of eating necessarily right
I even stopped going to the gym.
I’ve filled up my journal with to-do lists,
And now I’m too lazy to buy a new one-
Maybe it’s because I know I’d just fill it up yet again-
To-do lists that never get checked.

Why have I been too lazy to dream? I ask my self.
When did I lose my rose coloured glasses?
When did I grow ‘too’ up?

You are STRONG and COURAGEOUS- you don’t even know half of what you can do.

You have failed, been knocked down, abused and insulted. You have cried your heart out, gone through the most unimaginable heartbreak, seen and felt pain but you didn’t lose your mind (even though you thought you would), you did not break, you are still standing tall, crown firmly on your head and still as beautiful as ever.

You my dear Sister are a SURVIVOR, I celebrate you today!

Screw it Lets DO it!

“You got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can’t do something themselves, they wanna tell you, you can’t do it. If you want something, go get it. Period.”

–Will Smith in the Movie: Pursuit of Happyness

#faithactivated | What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger

For every failure I had encountered in my life, through each experience, I gained courage.  What didn’t kill me only made me stronger. I did not allow it to crush me (though many times I had come close to giving up).

It is possible to emerge from even the darkest hell healed and restored. You just have to believe. Activate that faith no matter how small.
